Garda Trainee Recruitment January 2022 – we’ve got you covered

Big news breaking this morning. A Garda Trainee Recruitment campaign will be launched in the New Year – January 2022.

800 new Garda Trainees will be recruited.

It was announced today my Minister for Justice, Helen McEntee.

I have spoken to a large number of you about your concerns on the requirement for applicants to be proficient in two languages. This regulation has now been removed. Under the amended regulations, proficiency will only be required in one language.

The Minister has urged people in new Irish and minority communities to apply. There will be a big emphasis on recruiting from new and diverse communities and improving gender equality.

Here is a link to media coverage about the announcement.

As your Stage 1 Online Assessment is fast-approaching, NOW is the time to take action.

Sadly, a huge number of promising applicants are failing this process, because frankly it isn’t easy. This is fact. Therefore I think it’s a wise move to invest in preparation in order to get the best score you can.

Our Stage 1 Online Assessment:
– Is developed by a former senior Garda, former Garda Superintendent Noel McLoughlin
– Includes 25+ hours of study
– Is created by expert tutors – Noel-John McLoughlin is qualified to British Psychological Society standards in Psychometric Testing
– Includes Timed Practice Tests to mirror Test conditions
– Allows you to practice at your own pace around your own schedule – in your own home!
– Is a slick and professional online learning platform – can be used on any device
– Our tutorials are sharp, concise, and mirror the conditions you will encounter with the real thing with the Public Appointments Service

GardaIP are here to take the fear out of the Stage 1 Assessment for you and help you practice and prepare to ensure success when you sit it.

Former Superintendent Noel McLoughlin will be organising a Free Webinar over the Christmas period to answer any questions or concerns you have about the recruitment process and a career in An Garda Síochána.

Enjoy the Christmas break (and get practicing for Stage 1 too!)
